A Guide to the Installation Process
Templates
As part of our service, a specialist fitter will visit in advance of the worktop being produced to take measurements of your kitchen to ensure a perfect fit. They will also review additional items such as edge profiles, upstands, drainer grooves and notches to make the most from your design. This process usually takes a couple of hours but it varies on the design of your kitchen.
If you are having any building work carried out as part of your kitchen project, this must be completed before we can undertake a site visit. Any walls to which kitchen units will be fitted need to be in place, plastered and dry. The kitchen units must be in position and fully installed. We will also need any accessories or items that are to be installed onto the worktops to be on site so that we can get full details and measurements.
The templates will then be forwarded to our specialist fabrication facilities, where they will be checked against drawings and the estimates we have provided you. Any variations will be raised and discussed with you at this point and we will need your written approval before we can continue with manufacturing. Time is of the essence here as we try to reduce the time between the template date and the installation date, usually its around 7 days but it does depend on the design and worktops you have chosen.
Installation
Once the specialist worktops have been manufactured, we will arrange a time and day suitable to you for our installations experts to visit and make final installation of your new worktops. Now you’re free to enjoy the pleasure of your brand new, professionally fitted worktops and can enjoy them for many years to come.
